Armsday has returned inDestiny 2as Arms Week. Now that the Witness has been defeated, Ada-1 can now focus on honing the Guardian’s weaponry as they venture to the edges of Sol. During certain parts of the current season, an Arms Week will be declared. A certain weapon archetype will be chosen as the curated weapon family, unlocking exclusive volatile mods to use in combat.
More importantly, Arms Week is an event that has some fantastic loot to chase. Experimental weapon frames and odd perk combinations can be found on most Arms Week weapons, so this event is always worth playing if you’re looking to fill your arsenal with some strange rolls. Here is a complete guide to how Arms Week works in Destiny 2.
What Is Arms Week?
Arms Week is atemporary event that adds experimental weapons and mods to the game. This event lasts for one week and tends to focus on a specific weapon archetype—hand cannons, shotguns, trace rifle, et cetera. Ada-1 has been experimenting with weapon frames and has some prototype weapons she wants you to test in the field.Complete Ada-1’s introductory quest in the Shooting Range and complete activities to earn Combat Telemetry, an event currency used to purchase Arms Week weapons.
Initial Calibration Quest
When Arms Week begins, you’ll see an event banner inthe Portal menu. Selecting that will bring up the current Arms Week reward track and objectives.Head to the Shooting Range in the Tower and speak with Ada-1.She’s located to the right of spawn next to the Rally Flag. She will give you a quest called “Initial Calibration,” which will ask you to use that week’s chosen weapon archetype to eliminate targets. Grab the quests in her inventory and boot up your favorite Portal activity.
Once you’ve completed the first set of quests, return to the Shooting Range to get your firstvolatile mod.Any weapon archetype that’s chosen for Arms Week can install a volatile mod, including weapons that aren’t under the new Gear Tier system. Equip the mod onto a weapon, then talk to Ada-1 again to grab the rest of her volatile mod quests. This will finish “Initial Calibration” and unlock her reward shop for the rest of the week.
Earning Combat Telemetry
Throughout Arms Week, each activity you complete will awardCombat Telemetry, an event currency you may exchange for Arms Week weapons. You can access this shop by speaking to Ada-1 in the Shooting Range. From our experience, it seems that Solo Ops is the best farm.Caldera is our recommendation when it’s available. Every three minutes will grant about 25 Combat Telemetry.
you may spend your Combat Telemetry onArms Week Engrams and weapon focusing at Ada-1.Engrams cost 25 Combat Telemetry; weapon focusing costs 25-30, depending on the weapon. We recommend you focus your engrams on the new weapon for the week. For example, if it’s hand cannon week, you can focus your engrams on Phoneutria Fera, the first shotgun frame to grace the hand cannon family.
Arms Week Weapons
There arefour weaponstied to Arms Week. One of these weapons will be chosen per event, noted as the curated weapon family. You may focus your Arms Week engrams from Ada-1 into the curated weapon to chase certain rolls. If the weapon you want isn’t in her shop, you’ll need to wait for a future Arms Week. All Arms Week weapons and their respective perk rolls may be found below.

Volatile Mods
Weapons that are curated for the current week will be compatible withvolatile mods.Completing the introductory quest from Ada-1 will give youFragmentation Rounds, causing targets to violently explode when you land precision kills. This is an Exotic-tier perk that you can put ontoanyweapon that matches the current focus that week, even weapons that were released before The Edge of Fate.
Additional volatile mod quests are available from Ada-1 upon completing the “Initial Calibration” quest. Bear in mind that some mods are disabled in raids and PvP; check the description to see if there are any restrictions.
Volatile mods dissolve at the end of Arms Week. Be sure to use them.
Disabled in Desert Perpetual and PvP (excluding Arms Week: Hardware)
Arms Week: Hardware
Arms Week doesn’t just affect PvE. Crucible players will have an exclusive Arms Week playlist active throughout the duration of the event.Arms Week: Hardwaredisables abilities and Supers, but it enables volatile mods for curated weapons. This is a great environment to try out a new weapon, experiment with volatile mods, or play some low-stakes PvP without worrying about ability spam.
Arms Week Challenges And Rewards
Arms Week is structured similarly to theSeasonal Huband Heavy Metal event. Each day, Ada-1 will havethree Daily Challenges and one Weekly Challengeyou can complete for event XP and Event Tokens. Your event XP will progress an event-exclusive battle pass reward track that awards upgrade materials, event currencies, and holofoil variants of Arms Week weapons.
Daily Challengesare fairly easy and update at the daily reset. Defeating targets, completing Arms Week PvP matches, and landing kills with the chosen weapon archetype are the usual challenges you’ll see here. Each challenge awards half an event rank and ten tokens.
Weekly Challengestake significantly longer to complete but award far more event XP and tokens. There is only one Weekly Challenge per Arms Week, so focus on completing this first.
Arms Week Reward Shop
All Event Tokens you earn may be spent at thereward shop, which you can access from the Arms Week event tab. You may spend these tokens on upgrade components and random rolls of the Arms Week weapons. These rewards are fairly expensive, so don’t expect to acquire many weapons this way.
If you have any spare Silver, you may purchaseReroll Chipsfrom this shop. These are used to reroll Daily Challenges, including those you’ve already completed. You may also get Reroll Chips from the event reward track, although the quantity of chips you’ll earn this way is rather small.
