Death Stranding 2: On The Beachhas been celebrated for several reasons and will almost certainly be nominated for Game of the Year. One of the most breathtaking aspects of the game is its remarkable realism, which has been beautifully captured in a stunning new statue that makes Sam Porter Bridges look even more like a real-life human being than he does in the Death Stranding sequel.
Hot Toys has created the stunningly detailed figure, and there are five versions to choose from: collector, special, deluxe, exclusive deluxe, and artisan. Although they all look more or less the same, each version comes with various add-ons and accessories. The artisan version, for example, which is the most expensive statue and costs more than $500, comes with replaceable woolen hair to make statue Sam look more realistic than he already does.
The artisan edition is also available in limited quantities. There are just 4,000 of them available, and stock is already low, which, combined with the realistic hair, is why it’s the most expensive option.
Death Stranding 2’s Sam statue comes with pizza dough, BB capsules, and, of course, Dollman
If you just want a Sam Porter Bridges statue that still looks incredibly realistic, even without the woolly hair, prices start from $420 with the collector edition, available through Big Bad Toy StoreandSideshow Collectibles. The statue is 1/6th scale, standing at a little more than 12 inches tall. The base version still comes with a lot of accessories too, including Sam’s blood boomerang, a detachable battle skeleton, and two BB pods so you’re able to change how they look, just like in the Death Stranding games.
If you want a little more with your Sam statue, thenthere’s the deluxe version for $465. While the collector version includes cargo cases, the deluxe version has an extra one that has been designed to look like it’s worn from Sam’s arduous journey and being peppered with timefall. The deluxe version also includes pizza dough accessories that the statue can be made to look like it’s spinning, a tip of the hat to Sam’s pizza-based missions in Death Stranding 2.
A Sam statue was always going to need to be ultra realistic, not only to justify its price, but because of just how good the lead character looks in the game. If you need evidence that Death Stranding 2 might be the most realistic-looking game ever made, gamers in the UK have been using Sam’s face to get past the country’s new age verification measures.
