By now, you’re probably used to Dollman fromDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach. However, everybody was intrigued by puppet Alan Wake in the game’s first trailer. While he’s definitely got the makings of aHideo Kojima character, it seems players are already tired of him repeating the same thing over and over again.

How many times has Dollman asked you to go for a shower, even though you just had one? Sure, Sam treks across the land for a living, so a shower now and then is warranted, the amount of times Dollman brings it up is as suspicious as it is. Maybe it has to do with the fact that Dollman usually hands down from Sam’s waist.

Dollman Keeps Asking Sam To Take A Shower

“Well, he is right next to Sam’s balls.” noted one comment on a Reddit post that complained about Dollman’s obsession with showers. They do have a point, though. Things are sure to get a bit smelly with Sam jugging all those packages across Australia on foot. But it seems that he asks Sam to shower even after he’s just done so.

However, it seems taking showers doesn’t just make Sam smell better, but also heals certain conditions. So, maybe Dollman is just worried about Sam’s overall wellbeing. “The sunburn, the frostbite, sore feet, indigestion, cancer, damaged cargo contents, and world hunger; all cured, solved, and repaired by a shower,” joked another player.

Some players think it’s more than just about keeping Sam clean, and that Dollman may have an ulterior motive. “My theory is that he’s waiting to take over Sam’s body to be out of that damn puppet, that’s why he’s so on our ass to make sure said ass is well maintained.” I’m not sure how that would work, but this is a Hideo Kojima game after all.

It’s not just Dollman who keeps repeating the same lines in Death Stranding 2. Some players also commented about Fragile constantly telling Sam to “go rest” and Tarman continuously ushering Sam into the Magellan for some rest and relaxation. It looks like the team is just looking out for Sam.
