Death Stranding 2players are already getting sick and tired of being told the same things by Dollman over and over again, whether it’s non-silenced snipers or dropped cargo.
Without a doubt, one of themost unique things about the original Death Stranding is how isolated the whole experience was. Outside of BB and the occasional ladder from other players, Sam was basically on his own as he ventured across the United States. That’s not the case in Death Stranding 2, though.
Alongside structures being more plentiful,On the Beach sees Sam accompanied by a new companion called Dollmanwho is, get this, a doll… man. Beyond being a brand-new character with his own arc, Dollman is basically a constant assistant to Sam and the player, which means giving a lot of advice over and over again, no matter how obvious it is.
Death Stranding 2’s Dollman sure likes to repeat the same advice over and over again
Yes, I know my sniper rifle doesn’t have a silencer!
While Dollman as a character seems to mostly be a hit(which is good because he’s the best), his gameplay role in Death Stranding 2 is starting to wear down on players. Whenever Sam does pretty much anything, Dollman has a comment about it, which is usually some obvious advice about how you’re playing.
The first time he tells you that your sniper rifle doesn’t have a silencer, sure, it’s helpful, but by the fifteenth time it gets a little overbearing. This has caused a lot ofDeath Stranding 2 players to take to Reddit and complain about Dollman’s constant, unnecessary advice, with some even taking to turning it into a meme.
Over on the Death Stranding subreddit, due to his repeating advice, including the fan-favourite, “Sam, that sniper rifle you’re carrying doesn’t have a silencer” that we’ve all heard a million times.
Now’s probably a good time to let you know that Dollman can be interrupted mid-sentence by walking into a body of water. You know, if you’re a monster…
Although some players are just having fun with Dollman’s advice, others do seem to genuinely be annoyed by it.One post from Redditor NurglesArmpit asks to be able to “throw Dollman away"because of how unnecessary his comments are. There’s still some love for the little guy, butmost agree that an option to mute repeated advice would be for the best.
