Reach through the chillingly gory scene outside in the basement’s main foyer area and collect the key to unlock the next puzzle you’ll need to solve in Dead Take to keep progressing through the mystery of what exactly happened last night at the Cain Estate.

Watch The Broken Movie In The Cinema After The Projector Has Been Fixed

Now that you’vegot the projector back up and runningagain, after a long and exploratory process of collecting the right tools torepair the projectorto stop the creepy glitch from happening back in the cinema, it’s time to see what’s playing. Therepetitive sounds stopas soon as the projector is fixed, and you’ll know your job there is finished.

If you make your way back toward the entrance to the projector room to look at the list oferrors on the computer monitor by the doorback into the hallway that returns you into the cinema proper, you’ll see a wall of red text now, all of which instructs you to gosit in the director’s chairback in the movie theater to see the film clip you’ve managed to salvage.

Before you leave the projector room, though, be sure to go to thedesk at the back of the room, beneath a trio of blueprints hung up on the wall. You’re also able toopen the desk below the cassette playerto retrieve one of the missingmedia file flash drives. Flash drive in hand,return to the cinema roomback at the end of the hallway and get comfortable in theblack director’s chairat the very center of the room, the one with the movie controls built into the armrest. When you’re ready, take a seat andinteract with the Play buttonin the armrest to begin the film.

Before you sit down, check out the back of the seat to the right of the director’s chair to grabone of the hidden notesabout Frank Gardeau. It’s a post-it note affixed to the plaque on the seat.

Get The Shield Bedroom Key From Off The Diorama

The video of Vinny’s audition for the role in Cain’s film will begin, and after watching your friend be talked down to by the legendary director, the film will cut at the end of the audition tape and you’ll hear aknocking on the door. It’s coming from behind you, so leave the cinema togo back out into the basement.

Gone is the basement scene you remember from before you came to fix the projector, though - now, you’ll see abloody crib dioramawaiting for you out in the entryway instead. Push through the creepiness andtake the key off the mobilehanging above the crib.

This is theShield Key, which grants access to the Shield Bedroom at the Cain Estate. You can find the bedroom back upstairs on the first floor of the house in the hallway leading back toward the gallery, to the left of the blockaded door near the entrance.

How To Solve The Piano Puzzle

Find The Sheet Music In The Shield Bedroom

With the Shield Key in hand from the diorama in the basement, you’ll want to make your way to the Shield Bedroom on the first floor.Interact with the lockon the door and use the key you collected in the basement to unlock the door, where you’ll hear quite a lot of baby crying.

There’s a pretty obvious spotlight placed on the colorfuljack-in-the-boxon the sitting stool at the end of the bed, but take a look around before interacting with this creepy children’s toy. To theright of the bedwith the jack-in-the-box, you’ll notice a closet.Open the closet doorto discover a locked safe with a pin pad, and remember where it is for later.

Now, interact with the toy and continue tointeract with the handle of the jack-in-the-boxuntil it bursts. Below this oddity, you’ll notice acassette caserested by the base of the toy’s spring. Open your menu tointeract with the cassette case in your inventoryto open it up, discovering not an actual cassette but atorn piece of sheet music.

Play The Right Notes To Get The Cassette Tape

If you haven’t ventured to the second floor of the sprawling Cain Estate quite yet, then make your way up either of the staircases - either back by the door to the basement or at the end of the hall with the Shield Bedroom - and make your way to the areaoverlooking the foyerdownstairs, where the basement door is.

Sit down at the piano andopen the casethat conceals the keys, taking notice that the symbols here match theodd jumble of shapesetched into the music stand above them. Highlight the music stand andplace the sheet musiconto the piano, concealing all but a handful of symbols.

Take note of the symbols left uncovered and find them down on the piano keys below so you canplay the keys depicting the symbols left uncoveredwhen you placed the sheet music onto the tray. Reading them from the top row down, left to right, you get:

Get The Courtyard Key From The Safe In The Closet

If played correctly, you’ll hear a sound as acompartment in the piano opensto reveal the missing cassette tape for the player back in the Shield Bedroom. Interact with the compartment, grab the cassette tape, andgo back to the Shield Bedroomto play it.

Pop the tape into the cassette player and hit play to hear an unsettling lullaby. After the lights flicker,check the baby monitorto the right of the cassette tape to receive the code you’ll need to access the safe:2429.

Return to the closet andenter the code into the pin pad, pressing the green check mark and waiting for the light to turn green. Then,interact with the knobon the right to open the safe in the Shield Bedroom, grabbing the Courtyard Key and another media file flash drive from within.
