Summary
Dead by Daylight’s long-awaitedFive Nights at Freddy’s crossover has given us all something that I really wish it hadn’t - a real good look at what Springtrap looks like under his suit.
As one of the biggest crossover games of all time,Dead by Daylight has a ton of highly requested collaborations. Without a doubt, the biggest request that fans (well, most fans) have had over the past few years is Five Nights at Freddy’s, something that has finally become a reality thanks to the latest update.
As great as the Pizzeria map based on the first Five Nights at Freddy’s is,the big draw of the new update is the ability to play as Springtrap, perhaps the most iconic villain in FNaF history. One of the most notable things about Springtrap since his debut in Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is his iconically creepy design, which clearly shows parts of a human corpse in his suit - well, now we get to see the whole thing.
You’ll Wish It Hadn’t, Though
When Springtrap made his way into Dead by Daylight yesterdayas part of the Five Nights at Freddy’s crossover, fans were quick to point out how great he looks, with some claiming it as the best model in the history of Five Nights. That model keeps the creepy endosuit and corpse combination, and makes it even more detailed than before.
While Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 subtly showed the body inside Springtrap’s suit and left most of it up to your imagination, Dead by Daylight is a lot more open about it and shows it off in far more detail, especially the head and mouth. If that wasn’t creepy enough for you, dataminers have found Springtrap’s model in the files and managed to extract the corpse, giving us our best look yet at Springtrap.
If this version of Springtrap is a little much for you,at least there’s a version that has Matthew Lillard’s face instead of a mangled body.
That might sound like a good thing, but once you see what Springtrap really looks like underneath the animatronic suit, you might wish you’d never seen it. Dead by Daylight’s devs have really put a lot of detail into Springtrap’s human body, showing once and for all that he’s basically just skin and bone underneath the suit.
