We already know thatCyberpunk 2077is getting yet another update.Version 2.3 was supposed to be with us at the end of June, but it was thenpushed backso the devs could spend a little more time on it.
Now, it looks like we have a release date for Version 2.3 of Cyberpunk 2077: July 16. This is because CD Projekt Red is hosting a livestream on this date, going over the game’s features. If it’s anything like previous livestreams, then there’s a good chance that the update will be dropped as we’re watching, letting us immediately jump into the new-and-improved Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 Livestream Scheduled For Tomorrow, Potentially Giving Us A Patch 2.3 Release Date
Tomorrow’s livestream will go over the new features being added with the update. Right now, there’s no indication ofwhat we’re going to get, so it could be anything. Last time, we got more customisation features and a revamped photo mode, so it’s anyone’s guess as to what CDPR has in store for us this time.
With a lead designer from Virtuos joining the stream, it looks like the studio is once again collaborating with CDPR on a Cyberpunk 2077 update. This makes sense, since most CDPR devs havemoved on to either The Witcher 4orCyberpunk 2. In fact, Paweł Sasko is being credited as associate game director on Cyberpunk 2 here, as opposed to Cyberpunk 2077’s quest director.
Can we expect any more updates after this? That’s also anyone’s guess. CDPR seems to have waved goodbye to Cyberpunk 2077 a few times now, only to come back for more. And now, with Virtuos set up to use REDengine, it opens up the possibility of more updates, even as CDPR works on upcoming games.
