Cyberpunk 2077just dropped update 2.3, and it’schock-full of exciting new additions, from extra cars and quests to photo mode tweaks and VRR support. But one of the more understated features included in this update is one that was ripped right from the hands ofGrand Theft Auto.
As pointed out bySynth Potato on Twitter, update 2.3 also comes with a new cinematic camera for when you’re driving. It’s a feature that we take for granted now in the GTA series, but it really livens up police chases and gives you a unique vantage point on whatever city you’re cruising through.
Cyberpunk 2077 Takes The Cinematic Camera Even Further
The cinematic camera is one thing, but combined with the new auto-drive feature, you can take things a step further to truly bask in Night City and all its dystopian, garish neon glory: “you are really allowed now to sit back and enjoy the world,” Synth Potato said.
It might not sound like much, but for plenty of commenters, it’s one of the most exciting new additions in update 2.3; “One small feature and I wanna get back into it again!” @Reddish_Tweets said. “Long overdue,” @ashenky0 added. “Fav new feature coming,” @mcdizzle17 said. Some, like @374_Karim, even argue that “GTA [6] should take inspiration from this auto-drive system” to make the long car journeys more interesting. With a GTA radio sprinkled in, that would definitely hit all the right notes.
It’s not the only way that you can take your hands off the wheel and enjoy the drive, though. The new update also introduces the Delamain Taxi service, allowing you to call a taxi to take you to your destination, again, just like in GTA.
The update is live now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, withNintendo Switch 2to follow in the coming days.
