Summary

Six months after releasing a “final” patchtoCyberpunk 2077, one thatsucceeded the other major patch that was intended to be the game’s final update, developerCD Projekt Redhas announced that — you guessed it — Cyberpunk 2077 is getting one more big patch. What’s more, it’ll be released before the end of the month.

In a post shared on social media, CDPR’s Global Community Director revealed that “we’re not done yet,” as the game will get another patch, dubbed 2.3, that has been “cooking” in secret, according to Associate Game Director, Paweł Sasko.

Official news of an upcoming patch follows some rather intriguing rumors about another piece of DLC that may or may not come to the game.

Wake Up, Saumrai, We’re Diving Back Into Night City

Originally, someone in the Cyberpunk subredditspotted on LinkedInthat an employee at Virtuos had listed “Cyberpunk 2077 DLC” as their project. They reportedly verified the person’s authenticityvia Moby Games, which TheGamer can verify does indeed exist.

It’s worth noting that the mention of Cyberpunk and its DLC has reportedly since been scrubbed from the LinkedIn page.

Equally, worth noting is the fact that Virtuosdid help with Patch 2.2, helping upgrade the UI for the game’s photo mode, among other additions, including enhanced customization options. In other words, the connection between Virtuos and CDPR is legitimate.

Ultimately, only time will tell if DLC is part of the update or not. Aside from a PS5 Pro update, which wouldn’t necessitate a major patch, there isn’t really much left to add to the game except more content, making the developments all the more interesting.
