Summary

Cyberpunk 2077onNintendo Switch 2is already being celebrated for beingone of the only third-party launch day games to be complete on the cartridge. Now,CD Projekt Redis buttering its new audience up even more as it has been revealed that its Ultimate Edition onNintendo’s upcoming console will have a couple of added extras.

The Switch 2’s release is now only three days away - still feels surreal to type that - which means the arrival of Cyberpunk on Switch 2 is only three days away as well. That naturally meansyou can still pre-order CDPR’s latest game on Switch 2and,as shared by Nintendeal, you’ll be getting more than just the complete edition of the game.

The physical edition of Cyberpunk on Switch 2 also comes withsome stickers and a note from the development team. The set of five stickers includes various logos, including one featuring the name of the game, along with designs that have given both the male and female versions of Cyberpunk lead character V cartoon-ish makeovers.

Cyberpunk Is Entirely On A Single Switch 2 Cartridge And Looks Good Doing It

Plus, Have Some Stickers And A Note From The Devs, As A Treat

The image of the note from CDPR appears to be from a German copy of the game, so I’m not entirely sure what it says. I could loosely translate it using Google, but the note is for those buying the game on Switch 2. I can’t stop you from translating the note yourselves, of course, especially if you speak German and you have already read it naturally by the time you make it to this point in the article.

One of the biggest issues raised during the build to the launch of the Switch 2 has been its game-key cards. Instead of the game being on the cartridge, key cards are, as the name implies, effectively empty cartridges that simply trigger a download once they’ve been inserted into the console. That will not be the case for Cyberpunk with the entire game, along with its Phantom Liberty DLC, complete on its Switch 2 cartridge.

You’d think that if CDPR can find a way to get Cyberpunk on a single cartridge, then any game coming to Switch 2 should be able to do so too. It’s not that simple, though. The belief is that Nintendo is giving third-party studios two options -an expensive 64GB cartridge, or a controversial game-key card. That has resulted in most developers, even those with games far smaller than 64GB, opting for the key card route and dealing with whatever backlash might come.
