Cyberpunk 2077is soon going to rivalBaldur’s Gate 3as a title that the developers just can’t help going back to. Despite claiming multiple times that previous updates were the last the game was going to receive,CD Projekt Red teased Update 2.3 last month, much to the delight of fans that still want to see the game keep going. No really, this is the last one for sure.
After a short delay, the studio held a livestream earlier today, showcasing all the things that Update 2.3 will add to the game, and just like previous updates, it’s a chunky one.
Cyberpunk 2077 Is Getting New Cars, Quests, And Features In Update 2.3
First up, CD Projekt Red outlined a neat change to vehicle customization, as you can now scan cars you see on the road and immediately apply their paint job to the vehicle you’re driving, whether it be a car or a motorbike. A bunch of extra paint jobs are being added to traffic to make the most of this feature, so you should be able to customize your vehicles a lot more freely now.
Speaking of vehicles, Update 2.3 will be adding a few new ones. Three cars and a motorbike will be added when the update drops, which are the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru, Rayfield Calibrun ‘Mordred’, Chevillion Legatus 450 Aquilla, and Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa respectively. All of these vehicles will be unlocked once you’ve completed their respective quests, so that’s a bunch of new content right there to chew through.
If you’ve ever felt like taking your hands off the wheel and letting the game do the driving, you can now do that thanks a new auto-drive feature that’s being added as well. You can either choose to pick a destination, or simply cruise around Night City for a bit. All of this also applies to the Delamain taxi service too, and Johnny Silverhand can even turn up in the passenger seat now to chill alongside you.
Finally, a bunch more features have been added to the game’s photo mode, including more NPCs and the ability to change the time of day and weather, while PC players should notice a few upgrades too. Of course, CD Projekt Red has also teased that there will be “more to discover” for ourselves, so keep an eye out when you head back to Night City on July 17, when the update drops.
