Cyberpunk 2077fans think that the latest update, Patch 2.3, might be teasing the addition of one of the game’s most infamous bits of cut content - and no, I sadly don’t mean the metro.

Aside from No Man’s Sky and Final Fantasy 14, there’s never been a game that’s had quite as much of a comeback story as Cyberpunk 2077. When it originally launched,it was criticised a ton for how unfinished it was, both in terms of itsperformance on most consoles and how many features and promised bits of content had been cut.

Since its launch in 2020, though,Cyberpunk 2077 has put the work in to bring most of those features(and even some highly-requested new ones) back. In fact, Cyberpunk is still being updated nearly five years later, with the latest patch, version 2.3, releasing a few days ago and adding even more content to the game. That might just be the start, though.

Cyberpunk 2077’s latest patch could be hinting at the casino finally being added

Cyberpunk 2077’s most recent patch added a ton of new features, from a cinematic camera that’s reminiscent of Grand Theft Autoto several new vehicles. That’s not all, though, as some smaller details were also introduced to Night City, including one that was highlighted byTwitter users SynthPotato and kalaelizabeth.

Following the update’s release, kalaelizabeth shared several photos of billboards in Night City, which have been in the game for a long time now. Whathasn’tbeen in the game, though, are a bunch of new adverts that can be spotted on the billboards, which appear to be teasing some kind of casino.

SynthPotato shared the tweet and suggested that the new adverts could finally be hinting at the additionof the North Oak Casino & Country Club, which was cut from the game before release but can still be seen in the distanceif you head to the right spot in Night City. While that would be a major addition that fans have wanted for years, there is a bit of doubt.

Shortly after sharing the adverts (which do appear to be new to Cyberpunk 2077 with the patch),kalaelizabeth noted that someone on Reddit found the files in-gameand discovered that they’re for the Pacifica Casino instead of the North Oak one we’re all hoping to see. While that could still suggest a casino is on the way (albeit not the one we’re all thinking of), it does suggest it’s just background flavour.

We’ve certainly seen CD Projekt Red go above and beyond when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077’s additions over the years, but adding a whole casino does seem like a big move for a game that has a sequel in the works. Overall, it does seem like it’s a bit of a red herring or just some world building, but there’s always a chance it ends up being more.
