Clair Obscur: Expedition 33is undoubtedly one of the stand out games of the year. With a beautiful story, massive twist, and unique turn-based combat system, the devs at Sandfall Interactive may have an all-timer on their hands. As if being thehighest rated game of the yearwasn’t enough, it alsosold a million copies in a dayand evencaught the attention of French president Emmanuel Macron.
However, it seems we may have a reason to return to Lumiere and the continent once again. While no official word was given at the time, Sandfall didn’t rule out the possibility of a DLC or additional content. Now, it seems like the devs are working towards possibly creating more content for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Spoilers For Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Ahead
“Bonjour! We’re currently exploring a wide range of future improvements — from accessibility features to new content and all sorts of bits and bobs we’re actively assessing,” said aBlueskypost by the game’s official handle. “Naturally, this also includes expanded localisation options!”
While localisation options would be great, the kicker here is clearly “new content”. Fans will be looking for any reason to dive back into the game, and this news will be music to their ears. Clair Obscur already features a sort of challenge mode with the Endless Tower, so this new content has a high chance of being a story DLC.
“While we don’t have specific timelines or confirmed languages to share just yet, we wanted to let you know that it’s very much on our radar,” added Sandfall in the thread. It seems the devs are simply experimenting with these things as of now, but the fact that they decided to make it public could mean that they’re pretty confident about it.
Perhaps we’ll finally get to explore the real world in this new content. We did get a little information about the war between the Painters and the Writers, but there’s a lot we still don’t know about what’s going on. Maybe we’ll get a new party consisting of the Dessendre family, and will also be able to wield their painter powers against the writers. It would also provide some closure on the family.
