Play The Tutorial Until You Return To The Lighthouse

The first time you download and launchMadoka Magica Magia Exedra, you’ll have to go through the entire tutorial where A-Q walks you through everything there is to know about the game: all the features at the Lighthouse, how to progress the story, how to pull for characters, and much more.

After you’vecompleted Rose Garden Witch Part 1-4, you’ll be brought back out to the main Lighthouse for the first time, where you’ll then be allowed to begin rerolling for characters. The pulling mechanic in Madoka Magica Magia Exedra is theFate Weavemenu on the bottom row of icons.

Pull For Guaranteed Five-Star Characters

You’ll have enough free diamonds for aten-pull on the standard Magica Key banner, as well as for aten-pull on the Magica Stones banner. You’re often guaranteed an S+ rank character after a certain number of rolls, but the game goes pretty easy on you in terms of pity early on.

You’ll receive30 pullsthis way, with at least one five-star character and two four-star characters promised. The rest will be a mix between three and four-star characters, with the game forbidding you from getting too many five-star characters right off the bat. As such, you’ll need tomake your five-star character count.

Be sure you like your four-star pulls, too, since five-stars will be few and far between past the tutorial.Consider your entire teamwhen choosing whether or not to reroll in Madoka Magica Magia Exedra. You’ll at least needone good Breaker and one good Attackerto effectively deal the most damage in combat, with the other four roles helpful but not necessary to winning the fight.

Restart If You’re Unhappy With Your Roster

If you’re happy with the character you pulled, continue on with the game as normal. However, if you’re not happy with the five-star characters you’ve pulled, you may always try toreroll for better characters. You’ll pull plenty, but with so many bonuses early in the game to help you get started, some players have sworn bydeleting the accountand starting anew.

To do this, to tempt fate and see if you may give yourself a better head-start inMadoka Magica Magia Exedra, go into thesettingsin the top-right corner of the screen next to your gift inbox, and chooseDelete Accountfrom the menu on the left. Confirm that you’re sure, and you’ll be able tomake another accountwith the first one having been deleted right away.

You can speed through the tutorial info in this secondary account a bit easier than in the first, and when you get back to the Lighthouse again, you’ll be able toperform another set of free pullson this new account, which may result in better Magical Girls and Kioku. Repeat this process until you’re happy with your starting roster in Madoka Magica Magia Exedra.

Which Characters Should You Aim For?

Check the five-star bannerto see which Kioku are currently available. Part of getting started in Madoka Magica Magia Exedra is having a limited number of free pulls on a banner thatnormally costs real cash to pullon, so be sure you’re using your freebieson these top-tier characterswisely!

You’ll receive enough gems as a login bonus to keep pulling on this banner for your first few days in the game.Keep pulling for these charactersevery day you’re able to, but you’ll need to lock in the decision to keep your account based on which five-star you get on your first day.

Naturally,Madoka Kanameis one of the strongest characters you can get on this banner, as aLight Breakercapable of dealing plenty of Breaking damage on the field. We’d also recommendHomura Akemias yourDark Attackerin her “Concentrated Missile Fire” form, orKyoko Sakuraas aFire Attacker, using her one and only “Kugatachi” form.

Four-star charactersare where we’d recommend grabbing yoursupport roles. They’re usually slightly weaker teammates, so focus mostly on building your five-stars.
