Dune: Awakening, at its core, is an inventory and exploration game. Most of what you’re going to be doing on Arrakis is scouring the planet’s surface for precious materials, bringing them back to your sub-fief, and using them to create more powerful tools so that you can find even more precious resources. However, you may have noticed that it’s quite easy to get encumbered in Dune: Awakening.
That’s because there are so many heavy stones, and players only have 35 inventory slots at their disposal from the jump. So, is there a way to fix this? Here are some ways to increase your carry capacity.
Can You Increase Your Carry Capacity?
Sadly, in Dune: Awakening, the short answer is no,you cannot increase your carry capacity or weight capacityby using skill trees or other abilities.
Before you go out to scour for more resources and materials, attempt to empty your pack as much as you can at your sub-fief.
You should never venture out into Arrakis with a pocket full of stones or ore, as these are extremely heavy.
However, there areways to improve your inventory managementand work around this issue.
How To Improve Your Storage
The best way to improve your storage and carrying capacity is touse vehicle storage.
All three vehicle types have their own distinct carry capacities, which you can use to transport large amounts of resources across the map.
Four types of vehiclesofferadditional storage.
For each of these vehicles, except the Sand Crawler, you will need toseparately fabricate either a storage or inventory partthat comes with the chosen vehicle type.

Several vehicles have different versions. For example, the Buggy has an Mk3 and an Mk4 version.Storage can increase depending on the type of materials you useto fabricate your vehicle.
Depending on the vehicle you useand the inventory or storage part you fabricate, the more storage you’ll have. This is extremely helpful for long hauls across the desert, in which you need to transport a large amount of resources.
Be warned,if you are using a vehicle to transport resources, you cannot then store the vehiclewith a Vehicle Replicator Tool. So make sure you have plenty of fuel to get back home!
For the most storage possible, fabricate the Sand Crawler, which has a carry capacity of 7,500.
However, this is really more for Deep Desert runs. For individual purposes,Buggies and Sandbikes are your best bet.
Though it only helps a small amount, when you leave your sub-fief, try to leave things like the Construction Tool behind.
Additionally, if you don’t think you’ll need a Handheld Resource scanner or a specific type of Suspensor, you can leave these behind as well to increase your carry capacity.
