Summary

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6has been through a number of controversies ever since its release last year, angering fans on a pretty consistent schedule. We’ve seencomplaints about ripping off other games, theuse of generative AI, and theever-present complaints about skill-based matchmaking. It’s been a little while since we’ve seen a new controversy, but Season 4 has unsurprisingly delivered.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Has Introduced Ads In Loadout Screens, And Fans Aren’t Happy

In a completely different post, another Reddit user called ScaryGent claims that these ads are “going to be the thing that makes me quit”, while another user admits this kind of thing makes them want to leave, but bemoans that “there is no real alternative”. Hopefully,Battlefield 6 will actually come alongand give Call of Duty a bit of competition for once.

Another post by Tidesharkalso takes aim at the ads that have been added to the Events page of the game too, as players joke that they can’t tell the difference between the console game and Call of Duty mobile anymore. Safe to say, Call of Duty players are pretty sick of being advertised to, and they may end up doing the exact opposite of what Activision is hoping for.
