Summary
It’s been a weird few weeks forBorderlands 4. AfterGearboxCEO Randy Pitchford explained whythe game will not feature a mini-map, he went on a rant about how"real fans" would pay $80 for the game, and eventried to explain it. However, it seems his PR team has taken away his social media access, so we can focus on the game again.
While not much is known about the plot of the game, Borderlands 4 is sure to feature some familiar faces. Of course, Claptrap is unfortunately still there, and we even know thatLilith will make an appearance. However, it seems Gearbox has left out a certain fan-favourite character that loves explosives.
Tiny Tina May Not Appear In Borderlands 4
Tiny Tina is undoubtedly one of the most popular Borderlands characters. She got a DLC for Borderlands 2 called Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, and later even got a whole spin-off game called Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. So, it’s pretty surprising when Ashly Burch said “I haven’t heard anything,” when asked about her appearance in Borderlands 4 byGinx TV.
It seems Tina may not appear in the game at all, or Gearbox has found another actor to replace Burch. Whatever is the case, it seems she won’t be working on the game. However, she did provide some insight about how she initially got the role and what she thinks of the character.
“So, Anthony (my brother) got hired to write Borderlands 2, I think, based in part on his work on Destructoid and then also with Hey Ash,” she revealed. “He was developing new characters for the game and was writing Tina. And, you know, I think he texted me and was like, I’m writing this character, and I realized I’m basically just writing her for you. So do you wanna audition?
“So, he asked the team if they would mind if I auditioned. We, he and I, were very wary of you know, seeming like just full on nepotism. So I was like, no. I’ll audition. And so I auditioned, and I ended up getting the part. And, yeah, it was my very first voice acting gig, which is really wild.”
