Gurazeni: Money Pitch follows the lives of Natsunosuke Bonda, a 26-year-old professional baseball player, and Tokunaga, a former baseball player turned radio color commentator.
Bonda was deemed Mr. Irrelevant in his draft class and is being paid above average for a player his age, but barely gets to play. Tokunaga, on the other hand, was unsuccessful as a baseball player and even more unsuccessful as a color commentator. The show follows the cut-throat world of baseball, which places major emphasis on money and stats.

After suffering a shoulder injury, his coach tells him that it might be time to retire. At 29 years old, he is considered an older athlete, causing him to contemplate retirement. However, after a unique experience with his daughter, he chooses to continue his career in gymnastics.
