However, not all of them lead to healthy relationships. We’ll help you determine which romance you want to pursue, or if you want to try your hand at all of them.
There’s no limit to the number of romances you can have, so feel free to woo everyone on our list! Just be warned, some may be worth avoiding if you want to reach the end of the game and live in peace. Of course, as always, the choice is yours!
5Morgen, The Mermaid
Deep in the heart of the Forlorn Swords, the alluring Morgen awaits a noble human to recover her lost treasures. It’s hard to miss her by the lake, as she has a massive pearlescent tale and two thick, scaled legs. Her sultry voice and shimmering complexion will draw you in, and she’ll only ask for a small favor.
The real trouble begins when you deliver the goods to her. She’ll confess an irresistible attraction to you, and if you listen to her silver-tongued words, she’ll lead you into a cold embrace below the waves of the Forlorn Swords. Your moment of ecstasy is but a flash, as the moment she drags you under, she tears you to shreds.
No matter how badly you want to seduce the stunning and lethal Morgen or help her and her sisters trade their treasures for true human legs, you must deny her. This femme fatale is nothing but a breathtaking liar, so steel yourself and turn down her advances at every turn. She’ll swim off in a huff and leave you with her treasures, so at least that’s something.
Of course, you can always save beforehand to get the slides from the so-called romance, then reload, but where’s your sense of commitment to the lovely and irresistable Morgen?
4Sine, The Kamelotian Captain
One-Night Stand
Sine is as cold as she is cunning. Before you even have a chance to get close to her, you’ll have to complete numerous tasks and quests to sate her curiosity and cure her boredom while she’s stuck at her stall in Cuanacht. From collecting dangerous crafting materials to fully exploring the underground city to learn its secrets, you’ll have your hands full.
Your efforts aren’t in vain, thankfully. As dry-cut as she is, Sine will make small talk with you and revel more of her history and how she wound up joining the Kamelotian army. Her hard heart softens towards you, cracking jokes about how bored you must be if you keep bothering her.
The romance is a whirlwind of transactions, ultimately leading to a heated and passionate night in the tent she uses just behind the stall. It’s a gritty and dirty evening, but nonetheless satisfying after all the back and forth with running errands.
However, it’s not as remarkable for Sine.
Without mincing words, she’ll tell you that your time together was a one-off and, frankly, you weren’t that good. Blowing off steam and having a committed relationship are two separate things, and Sine wants nothing tying her down to the crumbling walls of Cuanacht. You understand, right?
3The Queen Bee
Sweet As Honey
This romance is purely transactional, andthe Queen Beewon’t even try to hide it. Everything you do is for the benefit of her and her many children. Being a single mother to a swarm in Avalon is no easy task, and she’s not looking for someone who’s just going to run off and abandon her–the last guy who did is the subject of her wrath, and she’ll have you prove your devotion to her by slaying him.
With her ex-consort dead, you’re more than welcome to fill the position yourself. However, that means gathering plenty of precious Ethereal Cobwebs to give her. After handing her1,800 Ethereal Cobwebs, you’ll enable her to enact her plan for Avalon to become part of the hive and earn your place at her side.
Additionally, she’ll give you a spell that allows you to summon the ghost of her ex to fight for you. Within the same breath, you’re offered the opportunity to join the hive. It’s not much of a choice, as she’ll kill you if you leave her, but at least you know you always have a place to go–and that an otherworldly queen is devoted to you.
Unless you want to become the next queen consort’s summon spell, you might as well kiss the ring and accept your fate.
2Alisa, The Noblewoman
A Woman With Expensive Tastes
Alisa provides one of the healthier relationships in Avalon, though it’s only after you pester her husband enough that he fakes his death and begs you to let him escape his torment. If you’re into ruining marriages, lying to your significant other, and DIY home improvement projects, then Alisa is the perfect girlfriend for you.
Though an acquired taste to be sure, Alisa does have her uses. For one thing, you can move into her house early on–after all, she doesn’t want to be alone in her beachfront mansion–and she designs her own fashions to give you. Some of these unique pieces have powerful enchantments that can give you an edge early on.
If you can get past the Kamelotian accent and the entitled attitude, Alisa is a sweetheart. She’ll care for you as much as you care for her. The best part is that once you complete her quests, she’ll barely speak to you again! She’ll live out her days in the mansion you renovated together and never once bother you (or your other lovers), so there’s nothing to lose.
1Beor, The Blacksmith
A Man After Your Heart
Beor is by far the best love interest. The romance builds slowly and involves saving him from his dangerous Fae ex that literally stole his heart. After recovering it, you’ll help him craft a new one by tracking down ancient Stonewardens and sacrificing a piece of yourself to save him.
With his new heart, Beor fully embraces his adoration of you. He presents you with gifts and humbly requests that you visit him from time to time. Beor devotes himself and his craft to you, understanding that you’re not one to settle down and stay in one place, yet he hopes that you’ll treasure him as much as he treasures you.
When you visit, you can even share tales of your travels with him. Despite the somewhat concerning comment about forging chains and dragging you back if you stay away too long, he’s an endearing man who offers unconditional love and support for as long as you’ll have him. Also, there’s a chance he’ll gift you with rocks, which are a surprisingly rare resource.
Do yourself a favor and don’t break his heart–it’s a part of you, after all.
