Lots of popular RPGs tend to have some sort of cute, loveable mascot character that fights alongside the main party during their quest. ForMetaphor: ReFantazio, that character is none other than Heismay, a former knight of the Shadowguard who is wracked with unending grief over the premature death of his son.
Despite being a small bat-like Eugief, Heismay has one of the most complex and saddest character stories in the entire game, which is put on full display during each rank of his follower bond. This guide will detail how to unlock Heismay’s follower bond and how to complete each rank as best as possible.
How To Unlock Heismay As A Follower
Similar to the other follower bonds for party members in this game,Heismay’s follower bond unlocks automatically on July 4th after returning to the Martira Inn. Unlocking this bond will allow anyone in your party to study the Thief Archetype, which specializes in dark magic and high-speed attacks. To further increase Heismay’s bond rank beyond level one, however,you must first have at least level two eloquencein order to pierce this Eugief’s heart.
All Heismay Follower Ranks And Rewards
While it is not strictly necessary to pick specific dialogue options during Heismay’s bond rank-up conversations,doing so will provide more MAG for you to use as you see fit. To that end, the following table describes how to unlock each rank of Heismay’s follower bond, the best dialogue choices to obtain the most MAG, and the rewards you get for each bond level.
Once you’ve reached the maximum follower bond level with Heismay, not only will your entire party have access to the entirety of the Thief Lineage Archetypes, butHeismay himself will be able to ascend beyond that by acquiring the Royal Thief Archetype, the fastest Archetype in the game, and Heismay’s best Archetype by far.
Acquiring the Royal Thief Archetype for Heismay once you’ve unlocked it also costs a heavy price. For Heismay to achieve his true strength,you must first reach level 20 in the Ninja Archetype, as well as level 15 in both the Dragoon and Tycoon Archetypes. On top of that, you must also cough up 30,000 MAG to pay for this Archetype upgrade as well. All of this is well worth it, though, as the sheer speed and power this Archetype possesses is rivaled only by the other Royal Archetypes.
