The Bene Gesserit is one of the four available starting classes inDune: Awakening. You gain access to the Bene Gesserit trainerlastout of all the available classes, so if you’re interested in playing as one with the weirding way, you’ll probably want to pick this up as your starting class.

It helps that the Bene Gesserit’s mobility and abilities that shut down strong solo target enemies help you to clear some of the early dungeons quickly, and with ease. Here’s a breakdown of a full ability build for a starting Bene Gesserit.

Trooper

Shigawire Claw

The Shigawire Claw is a fantastic mobility tool as it allows you to quickly climb cliffs and mountains. When combined with the Bene Gesserit sprint you’ve got some of the best early game mobility available, pre-Sandbike.

The Shigawire Claw can also be used to stagger enemies, which fits nicely into the Bene Gesserit melee-focused playstyle.

Bene Gesserit

Bindu Sprint

The Bindu Sprint provides a short burst of intense speed. It’s extremely useful early on when you have to rely on your own two legs for traversal. It even allows you to cross larger areas of desertwithoutgetting eaten by a worm.

Compel

This allows you to use the voice to drag NPCs towards you. It also provides a short stun - pair this with a quick few stabs, and you’re able to quickly take down enemies, while also separating them from a larger group.

Techniques

Manipulate Instability

This Bene Gesserit technique allows you to deal extra damage to stunned/knocked back enemies.

Ranged Damage

Pretty straightforward: this Trooper passive provides extra damage with ranged weapons.

Planetologist

The Planetologist passives are all about resources, crafting, mining, etc. This can be foregone if you prefer to have more damage passives during the early game.

Short blade and long blade damage buff.

Healing effectiveness increases and extra healing per tick.

Reduced sun stroke rate.

Best Starting Weapons For The Bene Gesserit

It doesn’t pay to focus on just meleeorranged damage in Dune: Awakening, as you’ll needbothto tackle the dungeons and defeat NPC enemies. Your first major challenge will be the Imperial Testing Stations. Go in unprepared, and you might find these difficult to take down on your own.

To make it easier, here are some of the best weapons for the Bene Gesserit early on.

If you don’t find the Pseudo Pulse Sword, start with an Iron tier Sword and then upgrade to an Artisan Sword when you reach the next tier.
