Battlefield 6has been in the works for quite a while, and people have beentrying the game out in private via the Battlefield Labs program. That was the intention anyway, as people unsurprisingly began sharing footage of the game in action all over social media,despite several warnings from EA, so it’s safe to say that we’ll be getting a new Battlefield pretty soon.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know exactly when.We already have a vague release window, as EA has confirmed that Battlefield 6 will launch within the current fiscal year, but a specific release date has never been established. Thankfully, it’s looking like we won’t have to wait too much longer for that to change.
Battlefield 6 Will Finally Be Revealed This Summer
In EA’s most recent quarterly earnings call (thanks Variety), the publisher reconfirmed that Battlefield 6 will launch at some point before March 2026, meaning the likelihood of a delay just got a bit smaller. It was also confirmed that Battlefield 6 will be officially revealed at some point this summer, though a definitive venue wasn’t confirmed.
“As we look to the future, we’re confident in our ability to execute across a deep pipeline”, says EA CEO Andrew Wilson. “Beginning this summer with the highly anticipated reveal of ‘Battlefield,’ a pivotal step in delivering on our next generation of blockbuster entertainment.”
We know that Geoff Keighley’s big Summer Games Fest showcase is happening in the next couple of months, as is Xbox’s yearly summer showcase, so there’s a strong chance we see Battlefield 6’s official reveal at either of those. There’s also the possibility that EA could justgo full GTA 6 and drop a trailer for the next Battlefield on a random Tuesday, but I struggle to think of any surprises like that from EA over the years.
In any case, at least we know an official reveal is right around the corner, and that more confirmed details about the title will be shared at the same time. We’ll be able to see ifthe game’s rumored battle royale mode is actually real, or if the dataminers are accurate and thatthere’s no server browser this time around. Just a couple of months until all is revealed.
