Summary
The Batmobile has come in many forms overBatman’s almost century-long run, and quite a few of thise designs have been transformed intoLegosets. This fan favorite, and very unique, Batmobile design will soon be joining them as images of the next Batman Lego set have leaked online.
Although the Batman Forever Batmobile set hasn’t been officially revealed, the first lookshared by The Brick Fanis almost certainly an official image. As is often the case, the leak comes courtesy ofGerman retailer Lucky Brickswhich has, once again, jumped the gun and shared details about an upcoming set before Lego had the chance to reveal it properly.
While it might not be as conventional as the bog standard Batmobile that springs to mind for a lot of Batman fans whenever they hear the word, Batman Forever’s take on the vehicle is a fan favorite among the various designs used in movies, games, and comic books over the years. The fin at the back is its standout feature, while for me its the blue accents that rank it up there with some of the best Batmobiles ever used on screen.
Batman Forever’s Batmobile Is Lego Now
As Is The Batman You Will Need To Drive It
The Lego recreation of Forever’s Batmobile looks incredibly faithful to the one shown in the 1995 movie, right down to the electric blue wheels with bat symbols on them. If the Batmobile has any hidden features or easter eggs is currently unclear and will remain that way until it is officially revealed and the build gets its own page on Lego’s website.
The one other detail we do know is thatthe set will come with a matching Batman Minifigure. That technically means it’s a Minifigure of the late Val Kilmer since he played Batman in Batman Forever. A nice homage toKilmer who passed away earlier this year, and a reminder to go watch Batman Forever if you have never seen it before, or if it’s been a while and you need a reminder of how good it is.
How much the Batman Forever Batmobile set will cost is unclear, but since the piece count is right there on the box (909 pieces) we can make an educated guess on what its price point might be.Another recent Lego Batmobile, which is modeled after the car Batman drove in the 1960s adaptation of theDCcomics, is 1,822 pieces and costs $149.99. If we’re lucky, the Batman Forever set will cost $79.99, but my guess would be it costs closer to $99.99.
