Baldur’s Gate 3is so full of secrets and easter eggs that people are still discovering new things two years after launch. Whether it’sa new bit of dialogue,a unique interaction, or justan easier way to complete a task, players find something new every day. This latest one is related to the tragic character of Hope.

You’ll come across Hope in the House of Hope where you eventually face off against Raphael. The poor soul has been driven mad due to the demon ruling over her for centuries, but it all works out well in the end if you defeat Raphael. Unfortunately, she isn’t able to leave The House of Hope, but it seems one player figured out how to do it.

Hope Finds A Way

Over on the game’s subreddit,ThijmenCshared some pictures of their Tav and Hope taking in the sights and sounds of Baldur’s Gate. While it’s great to see Hope having a good time, the game doesn’t actually allow her character model to leave the House of Hope. But it seems there’s a rather simple exploit to do so.

  1. Make sure to save Hope and NOT fight Raphael yet

  2. Interact with the Filigreed Feywild Bell (the bell you got from Dolly after releasing her in Act 2)

  3. A conversation with Dolly will play, choose the option that says “snurl”.

  4. You will be changed into a Deep Rothé for a short period of time. While in this form, you are free to fast travel anywhere, so you can fast travel back to the city.

Following these steps will allow you to travel around the city with Hope and show her the good time that she so desperately needs. She’ll keep following you until you decide to fight Raphael, after which she will remain in The House of Hope.

The comments section was not only filled with players who were surprised that this could be done, but also many that thanked OP for bringing a smile to poor Hope’s face. “After 996 hours, I learned something new,” said one player who echoed all our sentiments. “She deserves this. I love her so much it’s a crime there’s not more content of her,” said another.
