Mod.io userLord_Presidenthas turned all of the main characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 into The Dark Urge. This means that you’re able to play as Shadowheart, Wyll, Karlach, Gale, Lae’zel, and Astarion with all of the story changes that come with playing as The Dark Urge.
These mods have been available on PCvia Nexusfor some time, but were just approved for release on console too via mod.io, so everyone can download them now.
The characters still have their unique story elements play out too, so Karlach still has her infernal engine to contend with, and Wyll has the pact with Mizora. So, there might be a few contradictions there, but you may write around them in your head.
If you play the game like this, you will beverybusy. You’ll have to Long Rest quite a lot to ensure you’re not missing out on all the extra content, and you’ll have two different stories running parallel to each other. Still, it’s a fun way to mix up the usual Origin runs if you’re looking for something new.
In any case, there’s a whole lot of mods to browse through now, regardless of what platform you’re on. It’s a good thing the community is so active, sinceLarian isn’t doing any DLC. At least we’llalways have custom campaigns.
