“Something’s” Going On With Edward…
The Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake wasoriginally reported on nearly two whole years ago, and we’ve heard plenty of updates about it since,including the fact that it was originally supposed to be launching at some point this year. Shadows' delay might have changed that fact, but it seems to be an open secret at this point.
As reported by Insider Gamingandpointed out by Twitter user TheRealZephryss, we’ve just got one of the most concrete updates on the remake in some time. Earlier this week, Pure Arts, a company known for making statues for the Assassin’s Creed series, held a livestream where they seemed to confirm an Assassin’s Creed 4 remake while discussing its protagonist, Edward Kenway.
One of the hosts pointed out that Assassin’s Creed fans should be aware that “there’s something going on with Edward”, suggesting a new statue of some kind is in the works. This caused the other host to confusedly ask if “that” had been announced yet, which was met with claims that the host had seen an article about it, along with some rumours.
It sounds like Edward’s design might be updated somewhat for the remake if a new statue is going to be produced for the character.
After that bombshell, the host repeated that there’s “going to be something going on with Edward” and that Pure Arts' PVC 1/8th statue will “reflect that accordingly”. It’s a little vague, but it does suggest that Pure Arts is aware of an incoming remake announcement and that it’s going to be making some updates to its Edward Kenway statue.
