Five years and a new console later,Animal Crossingfans are waiting with bated breath for news about a new game. That wait will likely continue for quite a while, but on the bright side, starting this summer, it’ll be far more comfortable and a tad more stylish, as you’ll be doing it in a pair of Animal Crossing Crocs.

That’s right,Nintendomight not have anything to say about its next Animal Crossing game, but that doesn’t mean it’s ignoring the series entirely - it’s notStar Fox. It knows darn well that Animal Crossing fans are the kind of people who love merch tied to their favorite game, and that by the time it has something to reveal about a follow-up toNew Horizons, a significant chunk of the current AC’s playerbase will be hanging on every word of that announcement while sporting these new Crocs.

Animal Crossing Crocs are coming

Not to your virtual island, but to your real-life feet

Announced via Nintendo on its own website- if anything was a Nintendo Today app-worthy announcement, it was probably this - the first-ever official Animal Crossing Crocs with matching Jibbitz charms are here. Well, they’re not here yet. They will be available to buyexclusively through the Crocs websiteand at select Crocs locationsfrom June 26, 2025.

Releasing them right at the end of the summer is a little weird, and the date has some convinced we’re getting more Animal Crossing news either on or before that date.

The Crocs have been designed to make it look like your island has been turned into footwear, and, unlike some other video game apparel, the adult and child designs are identical. A pale green island color on the top, and pale blue Animal Crossing water on the soles, with a sand-colored line separating the two to represent the shore. The adult size Crocs will cost $69.99, and the child’s sizes will be $54.99.

you’re able to’t have officially licensed Crocs without officially licensed charms, so Animal Crossing is getting those too. It looks like the series' most famous characters - Isabelle, KK Slider, and Tom Nook - will have charms that are included with each pair of AC Crocs. However, other characters and elements from the games will be available via five packs that can be bought separately for $16.99, and Rosie, Marshal, and Bunnie’s charms can be bought individually for $4.99 each.

Animal Crossing has been a big deal for Nintendo since Wild World lifted the series to new heights on theNintendo DS. However, nothing, even Wild World and then New Leaf after it, comes close to the success the series enjoyed via New Horizons onSwitch. Almost 48 million copies sold, so you can rest assured there’s going to be a follow-up eventually. That’s also why the series is getting crossover Crocs. Even if only one percent of AC players buy a pair, that’s still a heck of a lot of clogs.
