Kart selection inMario Kart Worldis critical, but before you get there, you’ve got to choose a character. There are four main classes of character stat spread in the game; each of those four has two different curves, effectively making eight separate spreads.

Featherweights generally have great acceleration and handling, but poor speed and weight; the higher up you go from there, the more things tilt in the opposite direction. Middleweights are the most even of the spreads, yet even they have that aforementioned pair of trends, so there’s a choice to be made within each, well, choice.
