What Are Alter Lessons?

Alter Lessons areentries in The Alters database. They representinsights Jan Dolski gains through interactionswith his Alters.

To unlock all Lessons, you’ll need to have created each possible Alter.

By completing specific side tasks for each Alter, you unlock these Lessons, which appear in both the database and the game’s pause menu. Unlocking Alter Lessonsgrants new dialogue options, some of which are essential forachievingbranching story paths.

Technician

Act 1

Build theRapidium Ark. This will annoy the Technician, and he will request aRecreation Room in your Base. Build itthenspeak to the Technicianto unlock the Lesson.

Worker

Act 2

Maintain theBase’s radiation filtersforfive continuous days without activating crunch hours.During conversations,choose dialogue that supports workers' rights,otherwise, he may become upset.

Shrink

The Shrink asks you torelax by brewing tea from a special plant grownin the Greenhouse. Once grown,make the tea in the Kitchenand then talk to the Shrink.

Doctor

Act 3

You need the Shrink in your crew, and when theDoctor requests a tattoo design, ask the Shrink to create it.

Tabula Rasa

Create Tabula Rasain the Womb, butdon’t use him. Choosebrain implants for yourself instead. After some time, theDoctor will forget to give Tabula Rasa sedatives, causing him to wake up and wander around. Eventually, you’ll receive a notification that Tabula Rasa is up to something, which triggers the unlocking of this Lesson.

Refiner

Build theGym module in your Base,craft its upgrade,andinstall it.After the upgrade is installed,wait for the Refiner’s reaction, then have a conversation with him. Finally,ask Lucas about Ben.

Scientist

Act 1 or Act 2

Per the Scientist’s request, enable crunch hoursand keep themactive for two consecutive daysto unlock this Lesson.

Botanist

Talk to theBotanist about your relationship with Lena. Let himtake your place in a conversation with her, thensupport his emotional responseby admitting your mistakes and praising Lena. A few days later, he’llopen up about his own love story. Follow his lead, take responsibility, andagree with his view of Lena.

Guard

Keep at leastfour portions of Mush on hand. After a few days, aMush theft eventwill trigger.Agreeto the Guard’ssurveillance plan, craft andinstall theequipment, then follow his investigation.Speak to all suspectsand confront theGuard afterward.

Miner

Refuse additional drugs after the first dose,amputatethe Miner’sarm, use theSerumto regrow it, andassign him to the Contemplation Roomfor counseling until recovered.
