Description

Mushroom

Grants the user a temporary speed boost, allowing them to pass over rough terrain.

Triple Mushrooms

Has three Mushrooms that rotate around your Kart, allowing you to use them one at a time for tremendous speed boosts.

Green Shell

A shell that travels in a straight line when thrown, which can ricochet off walls, knocking whoever it makes contact with forward. The shell will automatically attach to the back of your kart, making it an excellent defensive tool.

Triple Green Shells

Gives you access to three Green Shells, which orbit your kart, allowing you to toss them out one after another. They can also block incoming items or hit enemies who get too close as they’re rotating.

Red Shell

Tossing this shell will home in on the racer in front of you, making it a guaranteed hit unless they have defensive measures in place. The shell will automatically attach to the back of your kart, making it an excellent defensive tool.

Triple Red Shells

Three Red Shells rotate around your kart, giving you access to three homing attacks, making it very difficult for the kart in front of you to evade. Like the Green Shells, they can also be used defensively when they’re orbiting around your kart.

Banana

Allows you to toss a Banana Peel on the track, causing whoever makes contact with it to spin out. The Banana will also attach to the back of your kart automatically, blocking one incoming Red or Green Shell on hit.

Triple Bananas

Has three Bananas that rotate around your Kart, serving as a decent defensive measure against incoming Shells or nearby enemies. You can also throw all of them onto the track to create hazards for the other racers.

Blue Spiny Shell

Throwing the Blue Spiny Shell will cause it to seek out the first place kart and crash land into it, causing a massive explosion and flipping the kart over. It has a very large area of effect and can impact nearby racers as well.

Golden Dash Mushroom

A powered-up Mushroom that is active for a brief period, allowing you to spam the ‘L’ button to use it repeatedly for multiple speed boosts in rapid succession.

Mega Mushroom

Turns its user into a giant, allowing them to drive over their competition, squishing them into the ground for a massive advantage.

Fire Flower

Enables you to hurl a barrage of Fireballs with each pull of the ‘L’ trigger, having them ricochet off nearby walls and cause anyone it hits to spin out.

Boomerang Flower

During a set period, you can throw a Boomerang that will travel quite a way forward before making its way back to you, allowing it to hit other karts on its way out and on its return, causing them to spin out on impact.

Bob-omb

Allows you to hurl a Bob-omb onto the course, having it explode after a slight delay or instantly if a kart drives into it, causing them to spin out or get knocked over. It will automatically attach itself to the back of your kart upon pickup. If someone drives into it, they will also explode.

Bullet Bill

Turns you into a Bullet Bill, having you rip across the track in a linear path automatically, pushing away anyone you bump into along the way.

Super Star

Increases your overall speed and grants you invincibility for a temporary period. Driving into other racers while this is active will knock them over, making you an unstoppable machine during this time.

Super Horn

Send out a massive sound wave that covers a wide area of effect around yourself, knocking over karts in the area and destroying any incoming items, even Blue Spiny Shells.

Blooper

Send a Blooper to all the karts in front of you, causing it to cover their screens with ink and making it harder for them to see the track ahead.

Boo

Turns you invisible, making you temporarily immune to hazards such as Shells, Bananas, and Bob-ombs, and sends a Boo out onto the track, which steals an item from one of the other racers.

Lightning

Causes Lightning to strike all karts on the track, destroying all items in their possession while also shrinking them for a brief period. Players near the last place will become normal first, with the first-place player being the last one to recover fully.

Feather

Launches you high into the air, allowing you to evade incoming items, clear parts of the course, and even access secret shortcuts to give yourself a strategic edge in a race.

Coin

Obtain two Coins upon use, giving you a slight speed boost. You can hold up to 20 Coins total in Mario Kart World, which provides a rough 5.1 percent boost to your top speed.

Coin Block

Allows you to repeatedly spam the ‘L’ button to receive a decent chunk of Coins for a brief period, getting you closer to the 5.1 percent speed boost at 20 Coins.

Coin Shell

A shell that travels in a linear line across the middle of the track, leaving a trail of Coins behind it, allowing you to pick them up as you follow it.

Hammer

Toss out a line of Hammers with a slight curve to it, acting as temporary road spikes that will remain on the course for a brief period, causing anyone they hit or make contact with to spin out.

Ice Flower

Enables you to hurl a barrage of Iceballs with each pull of the ‘L’ trigger, having them ricochet off nearby walls and cause anyone it hits to become slowed and frozen.

Kamek

Kamek flies out in front of the user and begins summoning a barrage of obstacles on the track, which can range from large Goombas to Chain Chomps, a sea of Bob-ombs, and more. He will also transform every player in front of the user into a random character, canceling their drift in the process. If you are transformed into a new character by Kamek, they will become permanently unlocked.

Dash Food

Provides a temporary speed boost and has the potential to change your selected character’s outfit, permanently unlocking it as a selectable option in the character select screen.
